At the Department of Human Physiology teaching is conducted to provide students with an understanding of fundamental physiological processes, such as cardiac function, respiration, digestion, regulation of body temperature and fluid balance, as well as the nervous and endocrine systems. Additionally, the academic staff of the Department is engaged in scientific research focused on studying the functions of the human body at all levels—from molecular to systemic—exploring physiological mechanisms and their applications in medicine.
