Department of Medical Microbiology
At Department of Medical Microbiology teaching is conducted to provide students with knowledge that enables them to understand the biological characteristics of pathogenic microorganisms, their mechanisms of action, the diagnosis of infectious diseases, and strategies for prevention and treatment. The scientific research conducted by the Department’s academic staff focuses on the study of pathogens, their strains, drug resistance, and the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods for combating infectious diseases.
