The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sarajevo conducts its educational, research, and healthcare activities through departments, institutes, centers, and teaching bases.
The primary organizational unit responsible for delivering educational and research activities is the department.
In addition to departments institutes,play a significant role in the Faculty’s operations. Besides their research function, they also provide healthcare services.
The Faculty also includes the Center for Interdisciplinary Biomedical Studies (CIBS), which focuses on the development of modern multidisciplinary programs and projects in the field of biomedicine, with an emphasis on international collaboration and innovation in education and research.
The teaching bases of the Faculty of Medicine consist of public healthcare institutions that meet the required spatial, technological, and staffing standards necessary for the effective implementation of the educational and research process.
