In recognition of its contributions, the Faculty of Medicine has received numerous prestigious awards and honors throughout its history:
By decree of the President of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Josip Broz Tito, the Faculty was awarded the Order of Labour with Red Banner on November 10, 197
On December 9, 1986, the Faculty received the Charter of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
On February 3, 1990, it was honored with the Plaque of the Military Medical Academy.
In addition to these recognitions, the Faculty is the proud recipient of over 100 charters, plaques, and awards from both domestic and international higher education institutions, student organizations, and various companies. As an Alma Mater, the Faculty of Medicine has played a decisive role in the development of healthcare and medical science in our country. It has served—and continues to serve—as a key foundation for other health-oriented faculties. The Faculty has educated professionals not only from Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also from Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, and a significant number of international students.
