Within the framework of the programme Transfer of Knowledge by Diaspora Experts to Bosnia and Herzegovina, implemented with the support of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovinathe Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sarajevo is pleased to announce guest lectures by two distinguished experts – Dr. Iris Rajman and Prof. dr. Adnana Begovića.
Guest Lectures by Dr Iris Rajman, MD, MSc, PhD

About the Lecturer:
Dr Iris Rajman graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo (1987), and began her academic career as an assistant at the Department of Pharmacology. As a recipient of a UK government scholarship, she moved to the University of Birmingham in 1992, where she earned her Master’s degree (1991) and PhD in Medical Sciences (1996). Throughout her career, she has developed extensive international experience in lipidology, translational medicine, pharmacokinetics, and drug development, holding leading scientific and managerial positions at academic institutions (University of Birmingham, St Thomas’s & Guy’s Medical School in London) and pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, Eli Lilly, and Novartis.
She has led research teams of 400–600 scientists in the USA, United Kingdom, Japan, and Switzerland, promoting innovation, ethical standards, and sustainability in biomedical sciences.
Guest Lectures by Prof Dr Adnan Begović
Lectures and practical sessions Prof Dr Adnan Begović, professor at the University of California, San Diego (USA), will deliver lectures and practical sessions covering emergency conditions in pulmonology, with a particular focus on the recognition and urgent treatment of acute respiratory conditions.
Through the analysis of real clinical cases, students will have the opportunity to engage with practical examples and contemporary approaches to diagnosis and treatment.
