Categorization and Evaluation of Continuing Education Programs

The categorization and evaluation of programs are conducted based on specific criteria and procedures for the professional development of physicians in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), as well as the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), as defined by a separate regulation and education program.

By participating in a specific type of program, the participant acquires:

  • ECTS credits, which are recognized when meeting the requirements for admission to professional and scientific postgraduate studies
  • Credits in accordance with the Regulation on Common Criteria and Procedures for the Professional Development of Physicians in FBiH, which are necessary for obtaining a license to practice medicine
  • Certificates confirming the acquisition of knowledge and skills in a specific area of medical expertise, enabling the independent application of that knowledge and those skills
